About the Position: This position is located at 75TH Ranger Regiment HQ, Fort Moore, GA. The 75th Ranger Regiment is a unique Special Operations Force comprised of specially selected and well trained Soldiers and DA Civilians. Our four-time volunteer force provides our Nation a range of capabilities Special Operations: conduct large-scale Joint Forcible Entry Operations and execute surgical Special Operations Raids around the globe in high-risk, uncertain, and politically sensitive areas.

Duties

Formulate input to the Budget Estimate Submission (BES) for Baseline and Contingency Supplemental budgets. Enter budgetary information on a wide variety of related forms, schedules, and reports. Compile data for all categories of information necessary for formulation of budget estimates.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
  • This position requires some TDY travel up to 30% of the time.
  • THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.

Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in 1). Using budgetary methods and guidance to prepare budget estimates and statements of justification; 2). Monitoring execution of allocated funding; AND 3). Analyzing funding programs during the formulation, execution and reporting phases of the budget cycle. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Decision SupportFinancial Management AnalysisFinancial Management Systems Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
