About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center located at Fort Moore (Benning), GA.
This position is a TEMP Not to Exceed 1 year position. Please see "Additional Information" section below for further details.
Duties
Prepare financial reports covering status of funds, expenses, reimbursements, and obligation.
Prepare reports relating to the budget such as the status of funds, additional requirements, and statistical data.
Ensure program directors, personnel, and activities comply with budget requirements understand responsibilities.
Recommend procedures to improve methods of implementing budget actions, processes and responsibilities.
Maintain detailed records with ease of access such as audit trails and logs to account for funds.
Assist the Director through active involvement in administering the total budget program in the Logistics Readiness Center utilizing the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS).
Resolve customers problems that arise related to budget policy and guidance.
Manage the Defense Travel System (DTS) for the Logistics Readiness Center.
Requirements
- This position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 upon entering the position and annually.
- Position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel approximately 10% of the time, to temporary duty locations by various means including commercial and government aircraft, and motor vehicles may be required.
- This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position designated. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) preparing budget estimates and budget execution plans; 2) performing analysis of cost-benefit and planning; and 3) budgeting program evaluation review using automated financial management tools to manage expenditures, and managing travel card program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Accounting, Finance, or equivalent study.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
