About the Position:
This position is located in Fort Moore, Georgia within the DoDEA Headquarters RM Support Branch.
This position is not covered by a bargaining unit.
Duties
Analyzing budget execution to recommend and verify appropriate use of
resources.
Monitoring the execution of approved operating budget to assure funds are
properly obligated.
Reviewing budget estimates to identify imbalances and duplicates.
Advising personnel and administrators on budgetary and financial matters.
Maintaining organizational processes to safeguard funds, properties and costs and
obligations against fraud, waste and abuse.
Conducting briefings and formal training on a variety of finance related topics to
inform employees, management and officials on current policy and procedures.
Coordinating with other local agencies or military commands to review
Interservice Support Agreements (ISA), or like agreements or categories of
billings for integrity, accuracy and propriety.
Utilizing agency developed programs to submit budget data to headquarters for
approval.
Requirements
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
- Direct deposit of pay is required.
- One year trial or probationary period may be required.
- Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
- This position is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines.

Specialized Experience Statement: One year of specialized experience which includes: Working with Governmental Financial laws, Rules and Regulations (Such as DoD FMR); Assisting with the Formulation of an operating budget for a large command, corporation or agency; and analyzing financial data and budgets to find discrepancies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
