You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist within the AC34100 Branch of the Mission Systems Group (MSG), Logistics Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. You will be supporting PMA-262, Persistent Maritime Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program as a Mission Systems Deputy Assistant Program Manager, Logistics (DAPML).
This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
You will develop and implement product support and maintenance concepts/requirements for assigned systems to achieve program goals and objectives with minimum life cycle cost.
You will determine the best approach in planning and expending resources/funding to ensure adequate and affordable logistics support posture.
You will assist in submission and defense of Integrated Product Support budgets and support cost information to achieve program goals and objectives.
You will identify, plan and execute logistics efforts to ensure all aspects of the total systems life cycle (i.e. acquisition and sustainment) are in place to meet program requirements.
You will develop and review program technical documentation and provide input and direction on logistics/maintenance issues and requirements.
You will apply logistics principles and practices to ensure the total integration of product support elements to meet program requirements.
You will participate in the Configuration Management Process by developing, reviewing and submitting all associated documentation in support of Engineering Change Proposals, Configuration Control Board (CCB) Presentations, and Technical Directives.
You will interface with all echelons of DoD leadership (are required), NAVAIR, PMA, and IPT leadership, all program stakeholders, the fleet customer/field activities and contractors as required.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Providing direct support as needed for avionics/sensors systems integration logistics and program related meetings, conferences, and requirements; 2) Determining/deciding (based on technical information feedback and funding availability) the best approach to ensure an adequate logistics support posture;
3) Identifying, planning, and executing logistics efforts to ensure all aspects of the total systems life cycle (i.e acquisition and sustainment) are in place to meet program requirements;
4) Assisting in submission and defense of Integrated Product Support budgets and support cost information; and
5) Developing/managing/executing engineering change proposals (ECPs)/Technical Directives (TDs)/modifications associated with configuration management.
