Duties
At the GS-09 you will perform developmental duties as assigned.
At the Full Performance Level (GS-11) you will perform the following duties:
You will support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems for both NMCI, legacy and commercial cloud environments.
You will ensure design of system allows all components to work properly together.
You will troubleshoot problems reported by users.
You will monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.
You will administer servers, desktop, computers, printers, routers, switches, software deployment, security updates and patches.
You will be required to be familiar with MAC OS and Windows OS environments.
Requirements

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 451, proficiency level Intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain the proper Information Assurance (IA) certification as required in the DoD 8570.1-M.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating a substantive knowledge of information technology (IT) principles, concepts, and methods while supporting IT systems and services. Specialized experience includes most or all of the following: 1) Performing systems monitoring and processing access control requests to maintain system security and minimize risks; 2) Assisting with the administration of servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, software deployment security updates and/or patches; 3) Troubleshooting problems reported by users and helping make recommendations for future upgrades.

Applicant's may substitute education for specialized experience if they have the following:
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
