The primary purpose of this position Provide technical and programmatic support to the ACC Functional Manager and ACC ACTS Program Manager for current and future ACTS and the Advanced Data ink (ADL) air combat maneuvering mstrumentat1on protocols and standards development.

- The HC ACC Air Combat Training System Integration Manager requires adaptability to cope with frequent and substantial changes in volume of work and priorities, and deadlines.
- Will be required to drive a government light vehicle, which requires HQ ACC Air Combat Training System Integration Manager to possess or obtain a valid state driver's license.
- Bachelors degree with technical, engineering, and/or business basis or equivalent experience is desirable.
- Minimum five years prior fighter/bomber rated aircrew expertise is desirable.
- Prior fighter/bomber rated aircrew instructor expertise is desired
- Minimum of 3 years ACC staff experience or DoD equivalent desired.
- This is a Centrally Managed position in the Operations career field.

This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management, Miscellaneous Administration and Program Series 0301
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems (may have been obtained in the military, public or private sectors). Examples of specialized experience includes extensive technical knowledge of aircraft capabilities, air-to-air training requirements, weapons employment parameters, ACTS computer systems, ACTS system capabilities and limitations, AS types and capabilities, IS types and capabilities, GS types and capabilities, radio equipment, flight and ground safety, all assigned systems and equipment configuration, operating characteristics for air-to-air range operations, ACTS system modification procedures, security practices, and skill in applying this knowledge to plan and develop future integration capabilities Technical knowledge/capability to prepare POM/APOM to support funding of assigned equipment Major equipment/systems include, but are not limited to, the Common CCS, JDS, NACTS, AMODSM, P4RC, URITS, KITS and AKITS, P5CTS, and TCTS
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13
level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of computer programs, systems, and hardware required for Bombing and Gunnery Scoring, Electronic Combat threat simulation and countermeasure analysis for use in aircrew training and evaluation (i.e. Individual Combat Aircrew Display System (JCADS), Joint Debriefing System (JDS), Route Integration Instrumentation System (RIIS), Integrated Tactics Assessment System (ITAS) hardware, Aircrew Scoring Information Network (ASIN), etc. )
Knowledge of operational support of ACTS systems/equipment for all subsystems AS, IS, CCS and GS. Knowledge of aircraft (capabilities) for utilizing all systems associated with ACTS. Ability to interpret specialized documentation and descriptions pertaining to ACTS equipment
Knowledge of Government program planning, budgeting and Government funding. Ability to monitor aircraft capability changes required to support and maintain ACTS integration activities. Knowledge of procurement and acquisition principles, practices, planning and procedures
Ability to conduct and record surveys and inspections and evaluate findings. Ability to develop data collection techniques, analyze data and reports, and make decisions based on facts
Ability to Justify, defend, and negotiate governmental issues. Experience and skill in effectively communicating (orally and in writing) and in developing productive interpersonal relationships. Knowledge of land/facilities management, public relations and environmental cultural restrictions
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
