About the Position: This position is located at U.S. Army Medical Command Headquarters, located Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. US Army Medical Center of Excellence is located in beautiful and historic San Antonio and is within easy commuting distance of desirable neighborhoods and excellent school systems.
Duties
Develop and implement policies, procedures and processes relative to the workforce management program.
Manage administrative support for the division.
Supervise employees engaged in training management functions.
Plan and carry out complete or portions of broader workforce training program studies and special projects.
Assign work to employees.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain and maintain a T3 level (Secret) security clearance.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450.
- This position requires the employee to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing and implementing policies, procedures and processes relative to the workforce management program; identifying and analyzing training related issues/problems; developing the budget for the organization, identifying needs for major equipment purchases, making decisions on implementation procedures impacting operating cost; ensuring resources are available to support training requirements; preparing formal requests for personnel action to fill vacancies and making selections of employees from lists of eligible applicants; developing performance plans, and appraises performance; AND identifying employee training needs, locates sources, and initiates training requests. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
