You will serve as the Combat Management & Fire Control Systems Senior Intelligence Analyst (SIA) within the C4ISR Department. You will report directly to the division head concerning analytical and procedural issues. You will serve as lead technical analyst on complex combat management and fire control systems and networks projects. This position is located at FARRAGUT TECHNICAL ANALYSIS CENTER in Suitland, Maryland.

Duties

You will coordinate collection requirements for individual intelligence disciplines, acquire information on new technological developments, and fill intelligence gaps and shortfalls. You will develop analytic methodologies for assessing and projecting foreign maritime integrated Combat Management and Fire Control Systems (CMS/FCS) and networks capabilities. You will incorporate appropriate analytic tools into the analysis process, such as modeling and simulation, to quantify Combat Management and Fire Control Systems (CMS/FCS) and network performance. You will identify vulnerabilities and support forecasting of future capabilities. You will develop Research and Analysis Plans focused on divisional mission and develop production plans for delivery of technical analysis.

  • You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
  • This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
  • This position may require a two-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
  • Some travel may be required (within/outside U.S.)

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Serve as lead technical analyst on complex integrated combat management and fire control systems (CMS/FCS) and networks projects; Lead and/or coordinate the scientific and technical all-source analysis, assessments, and report on the technical capabilities of foreign integrated maritime combat management and fire control systems (CMS/FCS) and networks; Lead and engage with modeling and simulation team in the analysis of C4 systems and networks to include combat management and fire control systems (CMS and FCS).
