Joining the Secret Service, Office of Enterprise Readiness, Procurement Division will allow you to provide leadership, oversight, expertise, and advice on interpreting new and/or revised administrative regulations, policies, and guidelines; and establishing, implementing, and continually evaluating internal policy to effect efficient administrative operations for the U.S. Secret Service, Department of Homeland Security.  For more information on the Secret Service click here.   

Duties

The selectee will serve as an Administrative Officer for the Procurement Division in the Office of Enterprise Readiness Office Typical work assignments include:

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.

Qualifications

GS-11: You qualify for the GS-11 level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level performing duties such as: maintaining administrative policies and internal operational procedures for the division; observing management activities within the office to identify issues and make recommendations for improvements and/or corrective action, coordinating administrative functions and activities; maintaining files and records (e.g. personnel, financial, confidential memoranda etc.); providing administrative support on personnel actions and issues; and preparing non-routine letters and/or reports. -OR- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. GS-12: You qualify for the GS-12 level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level performing duties such as: developing and maintaining administrative policies and internal operational procedures for the division; observing management activities within the office to identify issues and make recommendations for improvements and/or corrective action, organizing administrative functions and activities; maintaining files and records (e.g. personnel, financial, confidential memoranda, etc.); providing guidance on personnel actions and issues; and preparing non-routine letters and/or reports.
