About the Position: This announcement will be used to fill a Program Manager (Assistant Program Manager Acquisition), NH-0340-03, positions with the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND). The selected applicant will be assigned to the Joint Project Manager for CBRN Special Operations Forces (JPM CBRN SOF). This is a pay banded position. The NH-03 band encompasses grades 12 and 13 under the General Schedule (GS) system.
Duties
Establishes acquisition program priorities, monitors progress, and takes action to ensure that all milestones are met or workarounds are in place
to mitigate potential issues.
Maintains liaison with appropriate internal and external stakeholders from DoD, DA, supporting organizations, and industry partners to ensure
the program is on track to meet cost, schedule and performance goals.
Reviews technical resources, acquisition policies, and directives from higher echelons to initiate, plan, and direct a variety of activities critical to
mission accomplishment.
Analyzes budget revisions, schedule adjustments, legislative/policy changes, and economic trends to determine their impact on assigned
programs and take necessary action to minimize adverse effects.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.

- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Practitioner (formerly Level II) in the Acquisition Career Field "Program
Management" within 60 months of entrance on duty.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Financial Disclosure (OGE-450) prior to appointment and annually thereafter.

The JPEO-CBRND exists to manage our nation's investments in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) defense equipment. Our headquarters is located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, but we have offices across the United States. There are six unique directorates within JPEO-CBRND, which manage the acquisition of CBRN equipment as an enabler to achieving the National Security Strategy and supporting the U.S. Armed Forces: Sensors, Medical, Protection, Integration, Enabling Biotechnologies, and Special Operations Forces.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience at NH-02 (GS-11) which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as performing ALL of the following duties; 1) Executing cost, schedule, and performance activities within the acquisition lifecycle framework 2) Coordinating acquisition support activities necessary to meet program objectives and 3) Supporting the development of complex acquisition strategy planning/documentation to manage the program portfolio
