About the Position: This position serves as a medical repair parts, supplies, and services procurement technician for the USAMMA Medical Maintenance Management Directorate (M3D).
Duties
Serve as a medical repair parts, supplies, and services procurement technician for the USAMMA Medical Maintenance Management Directorate.
Advise management and other officials on program direction, status and recommends solutions regarding potential issues.
Serve as a subject matter expert in the management of the Readiness Prime Vendor, Electronic Catalog, and other commercial business practice capabilities.
Promote improvements in the Medical Maintenance Management Directorate’s business processes, methods, procedures and techniques for the acquisition services and supplies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. You must successfully complete and pass a NATIONAL AGENCY CHECK WITH WRITTEN INQUIRIES (NACI, Tier 1).
- Appointment to this position is subject to a two year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- Business travel up to 5% of the time.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education/experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Developing work instructions to ensure the organizations supply processes are documented; 2) Managing materiel master data to ensure parts and service requirements are documented in accordance with Enterprise Resource Planning system requirements; AND 3) Providing technical advice/guidance on supply operations in the organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
