You will serve as a Supply Systems Analyst in the Maritime Allowance and Outfitting Department of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Duties

You will help apply sound judgment in determining the proper review for overall data content. You will be responsible for records and keeping documents safeguarded and ready for inspections. You will help perform checks and balances via various data systems. You will help perform studies and analyzes data.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

GS 5 Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience, one year of which was equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1).Analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gather related data, and recognize solutions; 2) Utilizes a variety of database and software systems to organize information; 3).Communicating effectively orally and in writing. 4). Assist to perform detailed studies using a variety of techniques such as mathematical functions. GS 7 Level: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a knowledge of organization regulations, policies, and procedures of the Navy Supply Systems and agencies relative to logistics support. Examples of specialized experience may include the following: 1) Analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gather related data, and recognize solutions; 2) Using a variety of databases to validate, coordinate, and schedule shipboard inventory; 3) Analyzing data and processes related to inventory management practices used to retrieve, repair, stock and issue supply materials; 4) Serving as the point of contact between directors and other division SMEs inquiring on supply data updates. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

GS 5:

Must have completed a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university.

GS 7:

I have successfully completed one full year of graduate level education.

OR

I have successfully completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement.
