You will serve as a Cybersecurity and Privacy Specialist supporting the Chief Privacy Officer (CPO) with primary responsibility for advising management on the effectiveness of the NASA cybersecurity and privacy program, researching new practices to improve effectiveness, overseeing NASA Component compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Duties
Establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with customers; meet with key customers and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain policy and procedures, and resolve problems.
Research and determine or recommend for mitigation appropriate actions or interpretation of issues impacting the organization and/or NASA.
Promote interchange of information on security and privacy requirements, capabilities, deficiencies, and technology applications.
Review, evaluate and/or assist in drafting appropriate privacy notices, information collection request SORNs, privacy threshold analysis, privacy impact assessments and other relevant privacy policies or inquiries on behalf of NASA.
Implement new or proposed legislation or regulations to determine impact on program operations and management and ensure NASA Privacy Program compliance.
Establish and assist NASA stakeholders of Controlled Unclassified Information program requirements.
Evaluate reports by analyzing facts and performing appropriate research and prepare detailed responses.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level:
Communicating with stakeholders such as Privacy Officers, Information System Owners, Program Managers, Agency Counsel, or employees at all levels within in an organization to ensure statutory and regulatory privacy and cybersecurity requirements including but not limited to Office of Management and Budget A-130; A-108, E-Government Act, Privacy Act of 1974, Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI);
Providing guidance and assistance relating to organizational privacy requirements, reviews or analysis to stakeholders;
Developing solutions to broad, important, or severe operational issues within the area of cybersecurity and privacy for an organization.
AND
