Duties
Serves as subject matter expert of Customer Off the Shelf products used by the Portfolio like supporting the Warehouse Management System including SAP ERP Core Components, SAP Transportation Management, and SAP Extended Warehouse Management ....
... to provide oversight of those products on the Portfolio Development environment.
Support installation, configuration, design and sustainment of portfolio applications and automated information systems and associated equipment management solutions that interface with the DLA network.
Serves as subject matter expert in administering and coordinating the initiatives related to Information Assurance and Risk Management framework missions and responsibilities.
Supports the DoD Risk Management Framework for the J62D portfolio including the DLA Warehouse Management System including coordinating with Information System Security Managers, application developers, configuration managers, analysts and others
Designs, develops and coordinates with J62D, DLA, contractor support and other partners on the present and future architectural and technical requirements for the DLA Warehouse Management System.
Responsible for the planning, acquisition, installation, implementation, maintenance, modification, and operation of WMS equipment at Warehouse Management System sites.
Advises DLA management officials on new developments and advanced techniques with a view of enhancing IT integration and infrastructure into the business operations of the DLA.
Plans, directs, or conducts studies of a long range nature dealing with broad areas of future operations, networking, technological developments, required interfaces, and recommendations for revisions to IT standards, guidelines, or policy.
Resolves hardware/software interface and interoperability problems, and maintains systems configurations.

Qualifications
To qualify for an IT Specialist (OS/CUSTSPT) your qualifications must include:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
- Expertise in cloud architecture including processing components, technical infrastructure, and software foundations.
- Expertise in cloud and system architecture supporting large and complex applications
- Working with a technical team in highly technical work on mission critical applications
- Maintains knowledge of state-of-the-art communications protocols, and operating systems software necessary to ensure operability of assigned applications including SAP system architecture and warehouse control systems.
- Planning, developing, and carrying out vital IT projects.
- Analyzing systems to permit accurate assessments of existing IT capabilities and determining the applicability of evolving technologies.
- Identifying systems requirements to design and implement various system modules.
- Coordinate with internal and external entities to overcome obstacles to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within resource constraints.
- Experience supporting DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) for a complex application environment including creating, modifying and understanding RMF documentation supporting Continuous Monitoring and Authority to Operate.
- Experience in supporting the following areas including, but not exclusive to, PC/desktop computer and peripheral (printers, scanners, scan guns, etc.) hardware and software configuration baseline standardization for end user workstations and peripherals.
