As a Budget Officer, you will provide financial and business information services to ensure that sound resource management and business decisions are made. You will manage all phases of the budget process, financial and business reporting, activity-based costing, and external budget development.Location of position: General Services Administration, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Washington, DC We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

As a Budget Officer, you will perform the following duties:

Requirements

  • US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
  • Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date
  • Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable
  • Register with Selective Service if you are a male born after 12/31/1959

Qualifications

Specialized experience must demonstrate experience in financial management leadership; developing formal budget submissions; justifying budget requests; budget forecasting; reviewing and recommending budget requests; evaluating and monitoring systems for the expenditure of Federal funds; evaluating budget policies; developing performance goals and measures related to budgets; developing strategic planning programs; and formulating a performance based budgeting process.
