As a Budget Officer, you will provide financial and business information services to ensure that sound resource management and business decisions are made. You will manage all phases of the budget process, financial and business reporting, activity-based costing, and external budget development.Location of position: General Services Administration, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Washington, DC

If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service. Specialized experience must demonstrate experience in financial management leadership; developing formal budget submissions; justifying budget requests; budget forecasting; reviewing and recommending budget requests; evaluating and monitoring systems for the expenditure of Federal funds; evaluating budget policies; developing performance goals and measures related to budgets; developing strategic planning programs; and formulating a performance based budgeting process.
