In this position you will serve as the Human Resources Support Specialist to the assigned organization responsible for military and civilian resources.
Duties
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the assigned organization, ensuring that human resources functions comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
Creates and process all manpower and personnel actions on assigned personnel. This includes but is not limited to Requests for Personnel Action (RPAs), applicable military personnel action requests, and Authorization Change Requests(ACRs).
Represents the assigned directorate and interact with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with all levels of management and human resources personnel, including General Officers and Senior Executive Service members.
Develops and recommends human resources policies and guidance for Directorate of functional activities, and performs continuous appraisal of the utilization of human resources in accomplishing objectives and goals.
Serves as the expert in human resources management policies, programs, and processes and their application to complex situations encountered.

- The employee must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
1. Knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods to accomplish long-range strategic planning for human resources and to provide definitive input on proposed legislative and regulatory changes.
2. Knowledge of USAF, AFMC, and LCMC organizations, programs, missions, and functions to analyze and determine human resources plans, programs, and initiatives to support customers' current and future requirements.
3. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
4. Mastery of advanced management and organizational principles and practices along with a comprehensive knowledge of human resources functions, e.g., civilian personnel, military personnel, manpower, etc., to develop and implement integrated approaches and solutions to significant human resources concerns and issues.
5. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
6. Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, to achieve stated positions.
