Duties
Under the direction of the IMCOM G9 Chief serves as the IMCOM G9 Child Services Background Screening and Suitability Program Administrator for child services staff screening, suitability, child protection, and risk management. Responsible for the child services suitability program for all Army child services populations to include Army Community Services (ACS); Child and Youth Services (CYS); Army Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR); and the Army Chaplain Corps. Directs the planning, management, integration, evaluation, and training to support program execution for the Command Designated Entity (COE). Manages and oversees the multimillion-dollar contract for the COE background check processing team located at IMCOM.
Provides sound leadership, strategic direction, and institutional knowledge to manage the development and delivery of child services suitability initiatives to support HQ IMCOM Child Services world-wide, with guidance and direction to other agencies such as the Civilian Human Resources Agency, Child Care Services Center, Army Security Mangers and garrisons executing Child Services and background check services.
Exercises significant responsibility in dealing with officials of other organizations and in advising higher level management. Establishes and maintains close coordination with military and civilian leadership within HQ IMCOM and its Directorates and Garrisons as well as other Army commands and their subordinate organizations. Maintains liaison and represents IMCOM in contacts with high-ranking military and civilian managers, supervisors, and staff within the Departments of the Army and Defense. Provides technical assistance, policy interpretation and consultation through guidance materials, training workshops, on-site visits and verbal/written communications to the field, Directorates, and command leadership.
Serves as G-9 action officer and liaison on the DA-G1 Child Services Suitability Cell (CSSC) and ASA M&RA Suitability Working Group. Develops, manages, and executes program budget and determines manpower requirements to ensure cost effectiveness and adherence to fiscal goals, objectives, and return on investment. Provides management controls to ensure program operates within prescribed financial and regulatory standards. Oversees the administration of contracts and contracted personnel. Exercises a full range of supervisory responsibilities to include performance management and evaluation, professional development, conflict resolution, team building, candidate evaluation and selection, employee discipline, and recognition.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position.
Candidates must possess specialized experience performing duties equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level to include:
1. Broad knowledge of child/youth services operations gained through positions within a garrison or equivalent community.
2. Demonstrated extensive knowledge of regulations governing suitability and child services background check requirements, processes, adjudication, and risk mitigation.
3. General knowledge of contract administration policies and procedures.
4. Experience providing a full range of supervisory functions to a subordinate staff.
5. Experience providing training or in developing training plans.

Highly qualified candidates must possess at least one of the following:
1. Experience working in child/youth programs in a region or headquarters environment which required program analysis, policy development, and coordination with proponents at higher levels.
2. Ability to present complex materials to senior officials in briefings, discussions, and working groups.
