About the Position: Serves as the Knowledge Management Specialist for HQ IMCOM, planning, developing and implementing knowledge management policies and procedures throughout the organization and it's subordinate units.
Duties
Plans, develops and implements Knowledge Management policies and procedures throughout IMCOM and its subordinate units.
Provides the framework for capturing, harnessing and exploiting intellectual capital, thus improving upon individual and organizational performance.
Identifies and assists in establishing roles and responsibilities for supporting a knowledge management environment.
Assists IMCOM senior leadership in achieving organizational goals and missions.
The Knowledge Management Officer will assess IMCOM strategic goals, identifying knowledge gaps, developing knowledge strategies, and integrating Army and DOD knowledge management best practices using various techniques and technology.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes knowledge management concepts, processes and methodologies; applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to assess knowledge management needs and determine gaps; developing knowledge management policies and procedures; assessing organizational strategic goals and integrating best practices; identifying knowledge management types using a combination of both codification and personalization knowledge management strategies; understanding knowledge management concepts to enhance the agency operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12)
