The Bureau of Reclamation Dam Safety and Infrastructure is seeking interested internal candidates to be considered for a professional development opportunity with the Land Resources Branch, Asset Management Division! This opportunity is for a detail or temporary promotion, not to exceed 120 days. Explore working with the Land Resources Branch as a Program Analyst in the role of Land Program Manager.
Location - Lakewood, Colorado and Location Negotiable After Selection, United States
Duties
Works as a member of the Land Resources Branch collaborating with Reclamation's regional offices and Area and Field offices, and other federal, state, and local agencies in the review, analysis, evaluation, and implementation of Reclamation's Realty and Land Management Program.
Coordinates oversight of the Reclamation Manual and applicable Policy and Directives and Standards.
Works with Internal and external customers and partners, to ensure program requirements are met.
Coordinates with Department of Interior and other Federal partners to implement DOI and agency initiatives.
Works as a member of the Land Resources branch to implement training opportunities for the organization.
Works as a liaison with the Department and other customers to ensure successful program implementation.
Qualifications
Applicants already at the GS-13 grade level will be considered for a detail opportunity only.
Applicants at the GS-11 or GS-12 grade level applying for a temporary promotion to the GS-12 or GS-13 grade level, respectively, must have 1 year of specialized experience and meet time-in-grade restrictions by the closing date of this interest announcement as defined below:
To qualify at the GS-12, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service demonstrating experience assisting with planning, coordinating, and/or carrying out projects relating to realty and land management.
To qualify at the GS-13, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service demonstrating experience with leading programs and coordinating projects relating to realty and land management.
There are no time-in-grade requirements for applicants interested in the detail opportunity (no promotion potential).
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
This position does not allow for substituting education for experience.
