This position is located in Service Center Operations Directorate, Nebraska Service Center. As a Supervisory Operations Support Specialist, you will serve as the technical subject matter expert in administrative/management programs related to: facilities management, procurement, asset/fleet management, budget/financial management, customer relations, mange the organization, evaluation, improvement of services and processes; and plan and adjust the priorities of the work to be accomplished.

Duties

Supervise a group of Operations Support Specialists who assess the productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of program operations or analyze and resolve problems in the effectiveness and efficiency of administrative support and staff activities Serve as a technical subject matter expert in a variety of administrative and management programs related to facilities management, procurement, asset and fleet management, budget/financial management, telework and customer relations. Assign work based on priorities, selective considerations of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees; set and adjust short term priorities, and set target dates for work completion. Listen to and resolve minor complaints from individual employees, as well as resolve group grievances involving non-supervisory subordinates. Accomplish work through coordination, direction, and oversight of subordinates and exercise significant responsibility in advising management officials. Evaluate and develop performance standards and assess work performance of subordinates supervisors. The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 03/04/2024 Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 03/04/2024. GS-13: You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Providing advice as a subject matter expert on a variety of administrative programs relating to facilities management, procurement, asset and fleet management, budget/financial management, tele-work and customer relations. Managing work load of department by adjusting assignments as priorities change. Performing liaison functions with other organizations to effectively present your organization's needs.
