About the Position: Serve as Systems Management Specialist for the Medical Command (MEDCOM) Army Readiness Requirements Coordination-Process (ARRC-P) database and the administration of the Army Readiness Requirements-Tool (ARRC-T). Position is located in Falls Church, VA.
Duties
Serve a primary point of contact for the continued development of the Army Readiness Requirements Coordination-Process (ARRC-P) database and Army Readiness Requirements-Tool (ARRC-T).
Responsible for administration, planning, implementing and performance of analytical and evaluative work for all hardware and software associated with the ARRC-P and ARRC-T.
Define needs, document functional requirements, and take action to acquire and maintain the database, for all of MEDCOM staff and Army Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) in accordance with the MEDCOM guidance and higher authority.
Manage and monitor overall system performance.
Ensure that inquiries and problems concerning ARRC-P/ARRC-T information/data as related to computer hardware and software service are expeditiously resolved.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You may be expected to travel up to 20% for this position.
- This is a Level 2 Financial Management certified position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) managing and monitoring the overall system performance; 2) coordinating all system applications training; 3) reconciling discrepancies in database systems; and 4) developing programs/projects related to the construct of the database. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
