The primary purpose of this position is to serve as senior intelligence specialist and Deputy Chief, Acquisition Intelligence Division. Expert acquisition intelligence advisor to Air Force leaders, Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance, and Cyber Operations HAF A2/6, Chief Modeling and Simulation Office, and HAF A2/6O.

Duties
DUTY 1:
As Deputy Chief, develop and deliver written documents and briefings to senior officers to articulate division capabilities and acquisition intelligence contribution to DAF missions.
DUTY 2:
Serves as a senior advisor and primary consultant on Acquisition Intelligence.
DUTY 3:
Manages resources within budget and time constraints to ensure timely and cost-effective operations within areas of responsibility.
DUTY 4:
Positions require knowledge of the substantive nature of acquisition intelligence programs and activities within the purview of this division to functionally manage programs and contract support.

Qualifications
This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
To qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements describes in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: substantive knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DOD) policies, activities, missions, and programs and objectives; management principles and process analytical and evaluative methods and techniques for assessing intelligence integration and improving effectiveness and efficiency. Extensive knowledge of the acquisition lifecycle and the role of intelligence in the development of weapon systems, new operational concepts, and innovative techniques.
Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Expert knowledge of AF policies, entities, missions, resources, operations, capabilities, and requirements.
2. Expert knowledge of the intelligence cycle and intelligence policy and guidance.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of acquisition principles, policy, and guidance and the role intelligence plays
throughout a weapons system's life-cycle.
4. Expert ability to effectively organize and analyze information; produce reports, position papers and briefings that
answer the specific needs of senior leaders; present clear and concise findings; cogently advocate for a position.
5. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective relationships; negotiating and resolving conflicts with a variety of
high-ranking military and civilian personnel at a variety of organizations to include industry and foreign partners.
6. Knowledge of security procedures to maintain control of classified material.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED:
1. Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
2. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
