About the Position: Position may be filled as a Temporary Promotion or Detail not to exceed 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary Promotions or Details may be extended up to a maximum of 5 years and may be made permanent without further competition. Position may be filled as a Temporary Appointment not to exceed 1 year, if candidate is not a current permanent Army employee. Temporary Appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three years.

Duties

Assist with design and development of mechanical components used in overhaul. Resolve any technical issues that arise that hinder production schedules. Assist professional engineers with developing sound engineering designs. Review and analyze technical information to determine most practical and economic methods of fabrication, modification, and assembly necessary to complete assigned overhaul projects.

Requirements

• Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Required to perform overtime and shift work on short notice to include nights, holidays, and weekends in support of related mission requirements.
