You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Mission Systems Group Logistics Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. As the H-1 Sensors and Weapons DAPML, you will be responsible for total logistics management of Sensors and Aircraft Survivability Systems in support of the Sensors/ Weapons IPT.
This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
You will develop and implement product support and maintenance concepts/requirements for assigned systems to achieve program goals and objectives with minimum life cycle cost.
You will determine best approach in planning and expending resources/funding to ensure adequate and affordable logistics support posture.
You will identify, plan and execute logistics efforts to ensure all aspects of the total systems life cycle (i.e. acquisition and sustainment) are in place to meet program requirements.
You will participate in the Configuration Management Process by developing, reviewing and submitting all associated documentation in support of Engineering Change Proposals, Configuration Control Board (CCB) Presentations, and Technical Directives.
You will prepare and/or deliver presentations to customers/stakeholders in order to address support posture and justify logistics requirements/implementation.
You will assist in the development and management of contract requirements (i.e. statements of work and contract data requirements) to support systems engineering/acquisition phases.
You will establish a robust total cost of ownership effort and develop affordable readiness initiatives, where appropriate, to reduce life-cycle costs.
You will participate in risk management processes and early identification of system integration risks.
You will provide analyses on degraders and data gathered from logistics management information systems in the execution of logistics and program planning documentation.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) applying logistics principles and practices to ensure the total integration of product support elements to meet program requirements;2) developing/implementing product support and maintenance concepts/requirements for assigned systems to achieve program goals and objectives with minimum life cycle cost;3) identifying, planning and executing logistics efforts to ensure all aspects of the total systems life cycle (i.e. acquisition and sustainment) are in place to meet program requirements; and4) participating in the Configuration Management Process by developing, reviewing and submitting all associated documentation in support of Engineering Change Proposals, Configuration Control Board (CCB) Presentations, and Technical Directives.
