You will serve as the Command Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) in the Cyber IT and Systems Operations Department of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Logistics Center, Keyport Division, Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania (NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA).

Duties

You will ensure enterprise-wide compliance with assessment and authorization requirements. You will ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all NAVSEA Logistics Center (NSLC) information. You will design, develop, and maintain Cyber Security (CS) plans and policy directives. You will develop status briefings for the Commanding Officer, Senior Civilian, Chief Technology Officer, Information Technology, Supplier Performance, and Logistics Systems Department Heads. You will ensure all NSLC computer users are aware and trained in CS fundamentals. You will develop, certify, mentor, and evaluate Information Systems Security Officers (ISSOs) in all NSLC Departments. You will collaborate with the Chief Technology Officer, Information Technology, Supplier Performance, and Logistics Systems Departments to provide support for actions to establish compliance with all CS directives and policy. You will maintain a repository for all organizational or system level CS related documentation. You will lead a team of ISSOs, participate in regular warfare Center Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)/Command Information Officer (CIO) meetings, and collaborates with Warfare Center ISSMs, NAVSEA CIO Office, and Authorizing Officials.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing automated systems and application policies to ensure cybersecurity and information assurance compliance is met for a technology program. Examples of Qualifying Experience may include processing Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation packages and Annual Renewals (ARs) resulting in Authorizing Official (AO) approval; implementing/applying Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) program, regulations, instructions and guides; managing Cyber Security incidents such as spillages, including required reporting requirements; briefing Senior leadership regarding Cyber Security subjects, status, programs, and activities; collaborating with RMF approval chain of command ensuring RMF package submission workflows resulting in package approvals; leading an IT cyber security team, and collaborating with the immediate chain of command. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
