About the Position: Office work environment in a well light modern office setting, light clerical work with occasional bending, stooping and lift of files or records not more that +5lbs. Hours are 7:30am - 4:30pm w/ 1hrs lunch and two 15 minute breaks over the tour schedule. No weekends and occasion opportunity for premium overtime or comp time. Team environment with small HR staff group
Duties
Ensure personnel actions are in compliance with published policy
Keep leadership informed of personnel actions.
Prepare correspondence ensuring proper format, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
Screen incoming mail/distribution for proper disbursement.
Perform data entry in order to keep organizations database updated.
Operate a personal computer to query data.
Foster positive working relationship with outlying support departments.
Give advice to employees on administrative matters.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. This position requires a National Agency Check w/ Inquiries (NACI) background check.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination. A candidate selected to this position will be required to sign a statement consenting to annual seasonal influenza vaccination.
- Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
- This position is subject to screening and update of required immunizations unless exempted for medical or administrative reasons in accordance with Army Regulation 40-562, Chapters 3 and 4.
- This position may be eligible for Situational/Ad-HOC Telework.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service.
A. I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 which includes providing administrative support using various automation systems to enter, update, store, retrieve data and produce reports and correspondence.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
