You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST with the Operations Division of the Naval History and Heritage Command. The duty station is the Washington Navy Yard, Washington, D.C.
Duties
At the GS-7 Level you will perform developmental duties, as assigned.
At the GS-9 Full Performance Level you will perform one or more the duties below.
You may assist in the performance of functions such as: formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities; review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
You may perform work which includes development, determination, and interpretation of budgetary policies and practices.
You may perform studies or assists others with full scale studies.
You may provide information about, and interprets standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations.
You may research guides to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information and prepares summaries for use by managers.
You may perform specialized work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems; analytical, forecasting, and interpretive functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds.
You may track and control of funds for special programs; analytical or program work pertaining to payroll, cash
control, or benefit systems.
You may perform a variety of other fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector using knowledge of financial management systems, practices, and processes to perform the following:
1) Assisting in the performance of functions such as: execution budget to support plans, programs, and activities; review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
2) Assisting in researching guides to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information and prepares summaries for use by managers.
3 Performing or assisting in performing work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems; analytical, forecasting, and interpretive functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds.
4) Using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point or similar applications.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
One full year of graduate level education. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
OR
A Bachelors Degree with Superior Academic Achievement

A combination of education and specialized experience
