You will serve as the Chief of Staff in the Naval Sea Logistics Center of NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA.

Duties

You will serve as the designated representative of the Senior Civilian in conferences, meetings, and regarding the operation of the organization. You will guide the integrated performance of critical technical and business functions that are essential to the effective performance of Naval Sea Logistics Center's technical mission execution. You will establish programmatic policy, guidelines, standards and requirements, and financial oversite. You will establish and enforce policies and guidelines for Division operations, directing Division business initiatives and providing management and oversight for workload planning, budgeting, and workforce shaping. You will direct strategic and tactical planning including manpower, workload, funding, facilities, new initiatives and assess the accomplishment and goals of the organization.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-05 pay band (GS-13/14 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing program management (e.g., short- and long-term strategic planning, resource allocation, administration, execution) to ensure execution of human capital and investment planning strategies for business operations.
