About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US Army Cyber Center of Excellence - 15th Signal BDE, Fort Eisenhower, GA.
Duties
Provides routine, non-technical information from office files or knowledge of the organization’s functions and policies.
Maintains suspense on incoming/outgoing correspondence or material and advises staff members of approaching deadlines, initiating follow-up on overdue matters.
Liaises with CCoE G1 and Civilian Personnel Advisory Center to coordinate civilian personnel matters within the organization and maintain internal personnel records/files.
Initiates and tracks requests for personnel actions (RPAs) utilizing AutoNOA to input, monitor and track incentive awards, performance appraisal, and personnel actions.
Ensures that time and attendance data entered is valid, accurate, prepared and submitted in a timely manner.
Types correspondence, reports, and other material in final form from rough draft, notes, or oral instructions. Must be a fully qualified typist.
Arranges travel for the Brigade Command Group to include scheduling transportation and making hotel reservations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to obtain and retain a Secret security clearance.
- Temporary duty (TDY) business travel is required up to 5 percent of the time.
- Must be a fully qualified typist.

Specialized Experience required to qualify for GG 06 grade level:
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one-year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position at the GG 06 grade level. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by skill in oral and written communications to prepare reports and correspondence; ability to use office automation systems and several types of software for various office needs; a fully qualified typist is required; ability to manage time; ability to perform work assignments designed to provide competencies, skills, and experience required to perform the more complex work at the full performance grade level.
Specialized experience required to qualify for the GG 07 grade level:
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one-year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position at the GG 07 grade level. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by (1) Utilizing office automation to perform clerical duties such as preparing correspondence; (2) Assisting in travel coordination for senior level management; (3) initiating and monitoring requests for personnel actions through systems such as AUTONOA and (4) managing time and attendance data; ensuring accuracy and submission.
