You will serve as a SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST in the Department of the Navy of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.

Duties
You will receive and investigate employee reports of unsafe or unhealthy working conditions.
you will initiate and provide continues training for Enviromental management systems with Hazardous communication and proper handling, transportation and disposal of hazardous waste material.
You will initiate and provide continuing education in the form of recuring(monthly) safety training; prepare lesson plans and conducts formal classroom training for the MCCES collateral safety duty personnel.
You will plan and conduct company and unit monthly inspections and surveys.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conducting safety and health inspections and recommend measures to eliminate or control hazardous practices and conditions.

Education
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
