Duties

You will serve as an advocate for students, and share information with students, staff, colleagues, and other interested parties that promote student success, retention, and graduation. You will create a culture of learning and engagement by applying student development theories and learning outcomes that promote students' academic and personal success, thereby increasing student satisfaction and student retention. You will manage student data and information to create accessible and actionable reports across teams while ensuring compliance with all applicable data protection of student privacy rules and regulations. You will coordinate efforts across internal and external constituents to maintain accurate student records and manage all issues related to graduating students and alumni. You will oversee the hiring and training activities of managers(s), and staff of the Admissions/Enrollment, and Student Success teams, and provide feedback, assistance, guidance, and mentoring for the professional development. You will participate in the preparation for and the execution of accreditation self-study activities and site visits. You will contribute to the development and monitoring of a reliable system to address student grievances, mistreatment, microaggressions, and bias.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing leadership and oversight on all aspects of the students experience (admissions, orientation, student success coaching, retention, progression towards credential attainment, etc.). Oversee the process for student discipline, academic remediation, and professionalism concerns while ensuring impeccable compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
