About the Position: This position is located at the U.S Army Sustainment Command, Logistic Readiness Center at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. This is a Term Not to Exceed 13 Months Appt. Duties

Brief trainees on proper procedures such as how to issue items, how items are to be packed for turn-in and/or routed. Load and unload designated conveyances. Report shortages or discrepancies and/or re-warehouses and disposes of obsolete stock. Properly store materials according to guidelines. Participate in inventories. Safely operate handtrucks, handlifts, pallet jacks, dollies, and/or electric jack lifts. Adhere to general safety practices in warehouse operating with material handling equipment. Prepare Maintenance Request (DA Form 2407) on items requiring technical inspection.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a Tier 1 investigations.
  • Incumbent is subject to a medical clearance examination prior to employment. This position may require an annual physical or medical surveillance examination.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 60 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
  • This position may require the incumbent to Travel (TDY) up to 25% of the times.

Working Conditions: Work is performed inside warehouses in bin room and on receiving and shipping docks. The areas may be cold, drafty, damp or hot. Work is performed in close quarters in/on warehouses, bin aisles, ramps or platforms. Exposed to injury from falling stock, handling materials, and mechanical equipment.
