Duties
The applicant will serve as an HR Specialist (HR Development) within the training office under the Office of Human Resources Management. They will be expected to perform a full range of responsibilities to ensure a positive training and/or onboarding experience for employees. The candidate will be expected to assist in administering all training programs including onboarding, mentoring, leadership development programs, and employee training programs. Under close supervision, they will assess employee development needs. Other responsibilities include assisting in working with vendors and stakeholders on coordinating training for employees and supervisors, assisting with administering the learning management system, troubleshooting and finding solutions to problems, and reviewing and advising on training requests.

Qualifications
Applicants may qualify for the position in one of the following ways:
A Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in a field related to the position.
OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a degree in a field related to the position.
OR
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level (or ZA-I at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as experience assisting with the coordination, development, and/or implementation of training; and/or experience in assisting with the coordination of training events and conferences.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
