About the Position: This position is located at the Directorate of Resource Management, Financial Management at Naval Medical Center San Diego CA.

Duties

Maintains and reconciles accounts and accounting data, prepare and analyze reports. Examines transactions for accuracy, adequacy of documentation, compliance with regulations for goods and services provided to or by the Government. Uses automated financial management/reporting systems such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) to extract, compile and perform analysis of funding data. Interprets standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations. Provides account maintenance and accounting support work using knowledge of accounting systems, policies, and procedures. Performs extensive research in various financial functional areas and ensure discrepancy are resolved.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certification position. Failure to obtain this certification within 2 year from employment may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
