You will serve as a SUPERVISOR in the Budget Division of Naval Information Warfare Systems Command NAVAL INFORMATION WARFARE SYSTEMS COMMAND.
Duties
You will manage the daily operations of the NAVWAR Comptroller's Budget Corporate Operations Branch.
You will supervise all efforts associated with developing, justifying, and monitoring the budget and execution of assigned Navy appropriations.
You will Instruct and oversee the approval of funding documents in accordance with appropriation law and DoD/Navy policies and procedures.
You will develop and champion innovative ideas to improve the organization and create an environment that fosters innovation.
You will assign workload and supervise seven (7) other analysts for the completion of budget and execution requirements and be a recognized subject matter expert (SME) in budget and financial issues across the DoN financial community.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing the approval of funding documents in accordance with appropriation law and DoD/Navy policies; assisting in the development and formulation of policies and procedures governing NAVWAR 1.0; AND supervising all efforts associated with developing, justifying, and monitoring the budget and execution of assigned Navy appropriations.
