This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in Transmission Business Operations (TAB), Transmission Chief of Staff (TA), Transmission Services (T), Bonneville Power Administration.
A successful candidate in the Public Utilities Specialist (Reliability Standards Specialist) position will provide an integrated Transmission perspective, enabling data-driven decision-making and unifying Transmission's view and voice around the SVP's vision and priorities.

As a Public Utilities Specialist (Reliability Standards Specialist), you will:

- This position does not support remote work. You will be required to report physically to the official reporting worksite as specified by the supervisor, but no less than 3 days per pay period
- Selectee will be required to complete the Office of Government Ethics Standard of Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OFGE450e) within 30 days of employment and annually.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Experience interpreting a range of concepts, laws, regulations, and policies applicable to an organization's public utility and business operations to 1) develop strategies ensuring compliance with reliability standards, 2) coordinate cross organizational teams on the implementation of changes to reliability standards, and 3) partner with internal and external organizations (i.e., federal, industry groups, etc.) to meet regulatory and project deadlines.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
