You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the GLOBAL SUPPORT BRANCH/SLDB (CODE 5212), LOGISTICS SUPPORT DIVISION (CODE 520), SUPPLY DEPARTMENT (CODE 500) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Duties

You will serve as a Supply Technician providing industrial support for the refit of OHIO class submarines and other assigned units. You will provide supply support services necessary to maintain the workload of the Submarine Logistics Center. You will perform cradle to grave management of outstanding material requests for global customers by accomplishing Submarine Logistics Database(SLDB) maintenance and validation. You will generate report requests, conduct research, identify specific problem areas, analyze, develop, evaluate and make recommendations for corrective actions. You will review procedural and/or system problems affecting the timely accomplishments of requisition/status processing. You will input various supply transactions to the database to include, requisitions, inquiries, status updates and modifiers. You will prepare reports on Submarine Logistics Database requisition validation performance for use in management level meetings.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Information Technology (IT) Level II required.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: GS-07: Experience inputting various supply transactions into the supply databases. Experience generating reports. Experience performing requisition audits. Experience checking and correcting National Stock Numbers. Experience analyzing and determining appropriate corrective action to resolve and provide input to ensure database accuracy. Experience conducting research. Experience with supply regulations, policies, and procedures. GS-06: Experience preparing and reviewing requisition reports. Experience checking requisition status using supply databases. Experience validating delivery dates. Experience providing supply statuses to customers. Experience keeping work areas in a neat, clean, safe, and orderly manner.
