You will serve as an Office Manager in the Spectrum Warfare Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.

Duties

You will implement a variety of administrative processes in support of the work unit, which has essentially singular missions and functions. You will process moderately complex administrative documents by researching and applying instructions, policies or procedures of the specialty area. You will prepare and process travel documents, including travel orders, vouchers, itineraries, visit requests, security clearances, invitational and foreign travel requests. You will requisite office supplies, equipment, and publications, and similar office support duties. You will be a credit card holder.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of an Office Manager. Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Composing, reviewing, editing and filing of correspondences, travel memos, presentation material as well as other documentation; (2) Developing and processing travel orders and vouchers; (3) Tracking office supplies and recommending purchases to maintain adequate stock (including credit-card purchases & MILSTRIPS purchases, etc.); (4) Tracking, logging, filing and reporting mandatory training; and (5) Utilizing Office Automation Equipment and Software such as Copier, Printer, and Microsoft Office. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of at least four full academic years of education above high school
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
