The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Armaments Center (AC) serves as the Army's technology leader for armament systems. DEVCOM AC ensures dominance of Army capabilities by researching, developing, integrating and delivering technology-enabled armament solutions to our Warfighters. Armaments Center has a long tradition as the primary research and development center for new and existing armament systems which are in use by U.S. service members around the world.
Duties
Serve as Administrative Officer and advisor to Director and/or Associate Director for all administrative functions within Directorate and organization.
Plan, guide and coordinate a variety of essential business operations and management programs for the organization.
Make significant recommendations to senior leadership that serve as the basis for new administrative/business systems applicable to large groups of employees.
Serve as primary point of contact and expert on administrative/personnel management policies, regulations, identify issues and recommend solutions.
Perform as a liaison and collaborates/interfaces with a large number of activities within the HR community, the Directorate and organization.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Three-year trial/probationary period may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:(1) Experience interpreting administrative and personnel regulations and policies; (2) Experience in suspense tracking control; (3) Experience utilizing automated systems, such as CPOL, and AUTONOA and DCPDS to initiate requests for personnel actions (RPAs); AND (4) Experience providing advice on best course of action to senior management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DB-02/GS-05-GS-11)
