The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Armaments Center (AC) serves as the Army's technology leader for armament systems. DEVCOM AC ensures dominance of Army capabilities by researching, developing, integrating and delivering technology-enabled armament solutions to our Warfighters. Armaments Center has a long tradition as the primary research and development center for new and existing armament systems which are in use by U.S. service members around the world.
Duties
Maintain the effective and efficient flow of administrative work throughout the organization
Evaluates and implements applicable higher echelon administrative and management directives.
Provides instruction to keep organizational personnel informed on relevant administrative and management policies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

- Three year probationary period may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience at the DE-02 (GS-09) Level:Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the DE-02 (GS-07) pay/grade level, which includes (1) Experience interpreting administrative and personnel regulations and policies; 2) experience providing administrative and management office support; and 3) experience preparing administrative documents for management such as reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, and forms. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DE-02/GS-07).
OR
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Public Administration.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Specialized Experience at the DE-02 (GS-11) level: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Performing a full range of standard clerical and administrative duties such as reviewing and composing correspondence/documents and/or scheduling appointments and/or making travel and training arrangements and/or maintain time and attendance and/or managing the acquisition of supplies, equipment, services and/or records management and/or answering suspense taskers and/or preparing documents & forms for personnel administration; (2) Expertise in actions using automated data base systems; (3) Proficient in office-related applications such as Microsoft Word and/or Power Point and/or Excel and/or Outlook and/or Teams. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DE-01/GS-09).

Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
