This position is in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). You will serve in the MSFC CIO organization and will play a key role in the development and implementation of new ideas, programs, or approaches to improve efficiency and effectiveness of Information Technology (IT) service delivery. Supporting MSFC CIO, you will communicate information and recommendations to others on IT services and organizational cybersecurity compliance.
Duties
Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
Serves as the IT advisor to customer organizations, providing and applying expert IT knowledge, understanding of OCIO requirements and IT security guidance for facilitating solutions for the customer organization.
Meets with the customer organization community on a regular basis to foster two-way communication about IT activities, changes, and impacts.
Performs the day-to-day cybersecurity activities under a managed cybersecurity program.
Analyzes and monitors the organization's compliance with Federal and NASA cybersecurity standards, handbooks, and guidelines.
Provides oversight and coordinates the necessary resources and activities to support cyber security goals and objectives, thereby reducing overall organizational risk.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level.
Utilizing specialized IT databases and applications to produce reports, submissions, and analytical data;
Implementing or supporting Information/Operational Technology policy to ensure efficiency and compliance;
Briefing senior leadership on findings and recommendations for customer or support requirements.
To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level.
Overseeing and/or leading the management of IT related projects, identifying, assessing, analyzing, and improving products and services;
Analyzing and devising solutions to complex or challenging IT problems;
Establishing internal or external customer service delivery requirements and advising on operational or strategic issues.
AND
IF you are qualifying based on experience, you MUST also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:
