About the Position: Serve as a technical specialist responsible for accomplishing the environmental portions of pre-authorization and post-authorization planning studies as well as work in support of other USACE District programs.
Duties
Perform a variety of specialized work in support of the District's planning, design, construction, and operations for civil works and military programs.
Perform in-house studies associated with environmental and recreation planning.
Accomplish the environmental portions of military and hazardous, toxic, and radiologic waste programs.
Serve as environmental point-of-contact on assigned Civil Work projects.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a driver's license in one of the 50 US states or possessions and any installation and/or DoD requirement.
- Temporary duty (TDY) travel is approximately 10%.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as utilizing an automated information system for budget, financial management and schedules; and working with business lines of accounts for the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of an organization.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-12.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS12).
