Serve as a Program Support Assistant for Ambulatory Care Service at the Orlando VA Medical Center.
Duties
Major duties include but aren't limited to:
Receive and distribute all mail and correspondence for the office of the Associate Chief of staff of Ambulatory Care and Community Care ensuring items requiring follow up or actions are appropriately suspended and presented for completion.
Perform a variety of administrative duties such as typing, copying, faxing, filing, and tasks associated with maintaining and supporting the work performed by the office.
Responsible for the coordination and tracking of OPPE/FPPE's, proficiencies, SOP's, policies, and compensation panels for Ambulatory Care.
Draft memos, Power points and other documents for leadership.
Review work measurement functions for the Orlando Occupational Health Program (OHP) to ensure that basic reporting requirements and procedures are being followed.
Analyze data to determine and evaluate results.
Serve as a Primary and Back up timekeeper.
Serve as a liaison to schedule meetings, obtain conference rooms, arrange for, monitor, and secure equipment, teleconference lines, videoconference equipment, services and products as needed.
Monitor and control business papers, correspondence, and records.
Obtain and monitor the use of services, supplies and equipment.
Work Schedule: 8:00 am-4:30 pm M-F
Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 02/20/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: receive and distribute mail and correspondence; type, copy, file, fax and other tasks; schedule, manage records and other administrative duties; review work measurement functions; analyze data to determine and evaluate reports; serve as a timekeeper; schedule meetings, obtain conference rooms, monitor and secure equipment, teleconference lines, and videoconference equipment; maintain procurement/purchasing records and reports; monitor and control business papers, correspondence, and records; receive, assign and monitor external and internal generated correspondence and inquiries; obtain and monitor the use of services, supplies, and equipment.

Physical Requirements: The position is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books< small parts; or driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
