You will serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist in the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, (NAWCAD), SE & ALRE Group, Prototype and Manufacturing Division, Quality Assurance Manufacturing & Fleet Support Branch (BL41500) of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
Duties
You will analyze quality data to determine root causes of discrepancies or deficiencies.
You will conduct quality assurance (QA) assessments to evaluate work operations, products, and processes.
You will participate with production, engineering, and other activities in developing plans and procedures for assuring quality and reliability of products.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as:
Monitoring electronic aspects of aircraft platform interface (API) systems and equipment.
Ensuring quality assurance of assigned API systems by creating checklists, blueprints, military standards, test directives, and technical manuals.
Evaluating the validity of inspection guidelines to ensure that inspections are effective and accurate while also working to resolve discrepancies that may occur.
Writing and maintaining records and reports to accurately document the processes and procedures of the job
Contributing to engineering efforts by developing plans of quality assurances as well as analyzing engineering data and drawings to make recommendations to the design engineers.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
Two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or JD if related
