You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the SUSTAINMENT GROUP, LOGISTICS INTEGRATION DEPT, STRIKE WEAPONS & UAV DIV, STRIKE WEAPONS & UAV BRANCH of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. This position is in Patuxent River Maryland, in support of PMA-242 Direct Strike (DS), Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) and Rockets Team, as the Assistant Program Manager, Logistics (APML)
Duties
You will serve as the Assistant Program Manager, Logistics (APML) for all sustainment and maintenance requirements with respect to the PMA 242 Rockets Program.
You will provide logistics leadership, technical assistance/guidance and/or direct logistics program management for the Program Office and the Rocket IPT within the PMA-242.
You will manage all Product Support Elements and contract development for ongoing weapons systems support.
You will be responsible for the development, planning and execution of the PMA 242 Rockets logistics program budgets.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11/12) or pay band (DS-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1). Developing and monitoring program logistics plans for total life cycle management; 2). Providing program data and analysis to support logistics planning. 3). Experience with budgets-formulation and management; 4). Writing Statement of Work, Independent Government Estimates (IGCE), conducting Market Research, and reviewing cost estimates/other contractual documents.
