This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - EX/OPNS PLANS & EX DIR.
Duties
Provide strategic direction and leadership to at all levels of team members while providing feedback and guidance on professional development.
Represent the J5 in various forums within DISA and the military services, combatant commands, and DoD staff.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop strategic plan and road maps that balances ends, ways, and means by recommending POM/resource allocations aligning the Agency strategy with military services and combatant command theater plans.
Lead and manage the interpretation and translation of national policy/military strategy and policy, and military service future force designs into operational objectives for DISA.
Prescribe and manage strategic communication development, coordination and planning in support of the Director's Focus Areas and future emphasis.
Requirements

- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- Position requires Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
- Position requires initial and random drug testing.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-15, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in strategy development, strategic and contingency planning, and resource management along with assessing, and advising leadership, using qualitative and quantitative evaluation techniques and methods to analyze progress. Experience coordinating and executing all levels of planning (strategic, operational, and crisis/contingency) across the full spectrum of cyberspace operations. Experience briefing senior leaders on short and long-range planning goals and objectives.

Education
