About the Position: This position is located within Naval Hospital Jacksonville, Directorate Resource Management. Work will be conducted in an office setting, 8 hour work days.
This is a Direct Hire Solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce.
Duties
Formulates goals, plans, policies, procedures and work plans supporting the development and execution of an Agency level Audit Readiness program.
Apply detailed Audit Readiness per Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR) guidance to support a consolidated Audit Readiness strategy for the Agency.
Performs quick response audits, audit readiness and sustainment, consulting and advisory services, risk management, liaison with external audit organizations, audit compliance and follow-up.
Serves as the Audit Readiness (FIAR) SME.
Maintains an awareness of higher echelon policy and guidance and utilizes sound technical judgment in assuring the development or revision of planning and execution in light of policy, guidance, and requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination. A candidate selected to this position will be required to sign a statement consenting to annual seasonal influenza vaccination.
- Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
- This position requires the successful completion of the Financial Management Level 2 Certification within 2 years of employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes performing audit analysis/evaluation of the planning, programming, budgeting and execution of financial programs; interpreting financial/budgeting policies and regulations; utilizing automated financial management systems to analyze and reconcile financial data and obligations.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
