About the Position: This position is located with the US Army Cadet Command, 5th Brigade Headquarters, located in Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Duties
Perform all duties associated with recruiting, retention, and incentive management activities for the organization
Process requests for change in force structure and coordinate with appropriate office
Provide sound and mature Army recruiting, retention, and incentive management advice
Gather information, identify, and analyze recruiting program issues for the organization
Keep abreast of and advise organization personnel of changes affecting recruiting, retention and incentive management functions
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
- Business travel required 30% of the time/ Employee required to attend C3P0 training 3rd week from EOD at Fort Knox, Kentucky
- May require a 1-year probation period.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this position you may qualify if your education meets the definition below:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade levels specified in the table, and may be computed by first determining the applicant's total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining the applicant's education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-9 and GS-11. (When crediting education that requires specific course work, prorate the number of hours of related courses required as a proportion of the total education to be used.)
