This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This Program Manager (Assistant Program Manager Acquisition) position is assigned to the Program Executive Office, Command Control Communications-Tactical Network (PEO C3T), PMO I2S Product Lead, Tactical Network Intialization and Configuration (PDL TNIC), located in APG, MD.

Duties

Manages/directs technical and administrative personnel in project management activities. Defines, develops and sets strategy and policy for accomplishment of assigned objectives. Provides oversight and coordination of all support organizations, collocated and non-collocated matrix engineering, IPT memberships, and systems and support contractors. Develops plans which affect the organization’s long-range goals, objectives, and directions and require an analytical approach in order to forecast future trends and results. Makes extensive use of technical resources external to the immediate project office, initiates, plans, and directs a variety of activities critical to mission accomplishment.

Requirements

• One year trial/probationary period may be required.

• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
• Selectees must meet position requirements for Practitioner certification in the Acquisition Career Field Program Management within 60 months of entrance on duty.
• Business travel required up to 25% of the time.
• Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
