Duties
Provide senior level advice, recommendations, and assistance at a directorate-wide level in a fast-paced and highly visible environment characterized by critical and time-sensitive concerns facing the Command.
Serve as the principal advisor to the director and other top managers on development and execution of the directorate’s budget ensuring that Command approved business processes are utilized.
Maintain DoD Financial Management certification requirements to ensure certification and continuing education requirements are met.
Perform data analytics functions to include the application development of analytics, measures, and metrics to help foster performance towards service targets, objectives and goals in order to influence G-8 business decisions.
Oversee the Risk Management Internal Controls Program for the G8.

GS-11 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in process improvement techniques for strategic and/or business plans; utilizing systems to monitor conflicting program and financial objectives; and providing guidance regarding plans, policies, and procedures for an organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education:Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement GS-11:Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
GS-12 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing projects involving the development and implementation of plans, policies, and procedures for an organization; providing process improvement techniques for strategic and/or business plans; and utilizing systems to monitor conflicting program and financial objectives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
